Road to 2030

Investing in Young Voices. Building a Sustainable Future.

Why 2030?

At Sustainable Me, we believe the future of our islands — and our planet — depends on the choices we make today. That’s why we’ve taken up the mantle of connecting our communities to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the world’s shared blueprint for a more just, equitable, and sustainable future by the year 2030.

For us, this isn’t just a global deadline. It’s a personal commitment. Every workshop, every camp, every afterschool programme is part of our promise to raise awareness, equip young people with tools to lead, and ensure families see themselves as part of a global movement for change.

“Every contribution plants a seed. With your support, Bahamian children and families can grow into changemakers who carry us closer to the 2030 goals.”

Impact Pillars

  • People: Empowering Mini Changemakers

We nurture children, parents, and educators to see themselves as leaders of change. Through camps, workshops, and clubs, we build confidence, creativity, and civic responsibility.

  • Planet: Protecting Our Home

From ocean conservation to sustainable agriculture, we connect communities to practical actions that safeguard the environment and build resilience against climate change.

  • Peace: Building Just and Inclusive Communities

We champion equality, empathy, and cultural pride — ensuring every young person feels seen and valued while learning to respect differences and resolve conflicts peacefully.

  • Partnership: Working Together for Greater Impact

We collaborate with schools, universities, NGOs, and local leaders to amplify our reach. Every programme is strengthened by collective expertise and shared resources

Change in Action

Sustainable Me exists to make the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) real in everyday life. We don’t just teach about the goals — we bring them to life through hands-on learning, creative projects, and community action that children, parents, and educators can lead together.

Every programme we run connects local experiences in The Bahamas to global goals, showing young people that their choices — big or small — have the power to shape a better future.

Where we make the most imact:

  • Through summer camps, afterschool clubs, and teacher workshops, we equip young people and educators with tools to connect sustainability to daily life and classroom learning.

  • From planting gardens to exploring marine ecosystems, our projects link environmental education to real action that builds climate awareness and resilience.

  • We create inclusive spaces where girls and young women take leadership roles, proving that every voice matters in building sustainable communities.

  • By working with schools, universities, NGOs, and community leaders, we amplify local action and connect it to a global movement.

  • Our focus on cultural heritage, creative reuse, and community projects teaches young people how to shape healthier, more sustainable neighbourhoods.

“By investing in Sustainable Me, you’re not just funding programmes — you’re funding a future where Bahamian children, educators, and families have the knowledge and power to make the SDGs a reality.”
